Riding in a capsule on a rocket straight up out of the atmosphere to an altitude above the Karman line, and then landing in the capsule about ten minutes later would certainly be the experience of a lifetime for most of us. But does that qualify a person for Astronaut status?

I have had Medallion status on Delta Airlines for years. Does that make me a professional pilot?

I've also been a passenger on cruise ships on occasion. Should I be considered to be a professional ship master?

Next Generation was the ones to die during away missions.

In the original those in red was was not beaming up.

So I give this group 30/70 chance to not beam up.

Are they sending any other nonagenarians into space? Of course if he dies up there, I suppose to it's a good way to go.

It’s a funny picture, if you know “Star Trek.”

But their uniforms are actually blue without the Starfleet logo.

Shatner is a TOS captain, and he’s dressed in the correct uniform for his era.

The rest of the crew were born after TOS went off the air. In TNG, the command group wears red and the gold shirts are the cannon fodder. So, everyone’s okay.

Besides, it’s obvious the crew is having WAY too much fun here.

Probably not!

Maybe they can play some reruns on the onboard monitor screen.
