1. Those are all pretty scary.

The settings around the subjects add a lot of the creepiness to the photos, but for some reason I get especially freaked out by pig's heads. That one with the pig's head mask in front of the men's room really makes my skin crawl.

10. i just learned this year that it was the irish that started all this.

i knew we started the jackolantern thing. but i didnt know that we brought the holiday here.
it was super rowdy back in ireland, and it was here in the beginning.

they rly did do nasty tricks. stealing gates was a big one back home.

it was another of those pagan things that the church subsumed into all saint's day.

it was sort of a plague project to learn my own history, both my own family and ireland's. it's been quite interesting.
learned a lot of drinking songs, too.
