Fate and my memory decided Halloween plans for me

Repairs on my car were supposed to be done, by now, but they have been delayed because of a parts shipping delay so it won't be done until next week. That means I'm dependent on someone taking me shopping. Which happened today, but I COMPLETELY FORGOT to buy candy.

So, it will be lights out on Sunday. Madoc and I will settle down in the darkened den to watch scary movies.

I'd feel bad but the truth is, the last two years I've had only a few kids stop by. There are several 'trunk and treat' events going on so I think the parents would rather take their kids to those, instead of going door to door.

Kind of disappointed, because I do love Halloween, but also kind of relieved because I won't have a whole bunch of left over candy.

I did get candy this year, but like you, in the past FEW years had little or no Trick or Treaters. Fla Dem Oct 2021 #1

Unfortunately that means someone else has to eat that candy. I always get candy I like. LOL.

Who knows - maybe this weekend someone will stop by and and take me to the store where I'll grab a bag of something I like. The odds are, though, I'll bake a pan of brownies make something delightful for an early dinner and binge watch Hammer Films on HBO/Max. I was hoping they'd feature some classic Universal horror films, but I can enjoy some classic Christopher Lee, instead.
