Went to see my PCP today and was pronounced healthy. She offered me a Covid booster, "We have them" so I said of course. I had been planning on getting my flu shot so I got one in each arm. I also got my usual lab work done. I seem to be in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in! No major complaints except for the usual creaks and crackles when getting started in the morning. I will have to see the hand surgeon at some point about the two fingers that keep locking, but that's small potatoes in the larger scope of things.

(23,199 posts)Had it in index finger. Got really bad, suddenly went away. Now it's in middle finger. Not too bad. If it gets bad, there is a shot. Steroid, I think. Last resort, there is a surgery.

(9,854 posts)I found that out when I saw the hand surgeon last winter. I had developed trigger finger in my right thumb, of all places....if you think something is inconvenient, try THAT if you're right-handed. I showed her what my left hand does and asked her if we could do the steroid shots there too, and she said it was not trigger finger at all. It's something much more complicated involving tendons in the hand. The fingers lock at the knuckles in the hand. I think it's something to do with the sagittal band. I trust this surgeon. She's amazing.
