What's good on Hulu?

We just got a deal on it for the next 12 months. And I am NOT INTERESTED in "The Handmaid's Tale", TYVM.

1. What We Do in the Shadows

That one alone is worth the 99 cents! (I signed up for that deal too!)

2. I picked up that same deal...

I watch reruns of "Modern Family" and odd shows here and there, for 99 cents a month for a year it was worth it to me...A tip, if you watch through Chrome browser on a pc there is a free extension for Chrome in the Chrome Web Store that automatically fast forwards through the Hulu Ads...Hulu Ad Skipper...

3. Not sure what you like, but here are some of my faves...

There is so much, been with Hulu for a long, long time...
- PIG (with Nicolas Cage) available elsewhere, but now included with Hulu
- Reservoir Dogs (Comedy about Native American kids. All indigenous cast and writers. Grabs you from the get go)
- Only Murders in the Building (Steve Martin and Martin Short, comedy set in NYC. Very funny).
- Future Man (superhero action comedy)
- Pen15 (hilarious comedy about two young teen best girlfriemds played brilliantly by 30+ year old comic actresses)
- Killinig Eve (British crime drama with Sandra Oh)

I'll post more if you want, or tell us what you like...

4. The Great.

Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. Very funny, sometimes true story of Catherine the Great.

14. Rude, obscene, violent, ahistorical...

IOW, one of the best series of the last two years.

15. The Great has my vote too.

Also
11/22/1963 -- a time traveler tries to stop JFK's assassination.
Mrs. America -- a 6 (?) part series on the leaders of the women's movement and how one woman (Phyllis Schlafly) stopped the passage of ERA. It's terrific.

5. I started watching Marvel's Hit Monkey

An Archer like hit man gets killed along with a tribe of monkeys... One monkey survives and the ghost of the hit man guides him into the business.

Probably not for everyone but I think it's pretty funny.

7. Wu Tang:An American Saga is amazing. So was Reservation Dogs

If you have even a slight appreciation for hip hop or just a good story about hard work and success, with an excellent albeit rough soundtrack, you should check out Wu Tang.

I'm also binge watching the original X-Files episodes. It keeps me out o fly head for a bit.

8. I really enjoyed Taste The Nation

with Padma Lakshmi. She is a wonderful guide to immigrant culture and food in America. Highly recommend.

10. I, for one, hate Hulu. Not the content. The constant dropouts and buffering.

To be honest, I don’t really know if it’s Hulu, the internet provider, the modem, the router, the fire stick, or a combination. I do know we don’t have the problem with Disney+, Pluto, Paramount+, Tubi, or ESPN. A month ago we had to stop watching a football game. In fact, the game had been over for 20 minutes, but Hulu had it early in the fourth quarter. When it froze for the umpteeth time, we rebooted to find it was suddenly half way through the third.

When Metronet comes to the neighborhood, Hulu is history.

13. I just started Hulu based on another DUers recommendation for "The Leftovers"

Very good so far. Confusing, some violent and adult content, but very engaging.

16. I started watching 11.22.63 last night

It's gripping. I lived through that time as a young person and the re-creation of it is phenomenal so far. The book was amazing, and so far, based on one episode, is the series.
