(15,076 posts)Same in my house.
We never allowed any of our dogs on the furniture. Then came Snoopy. The shelter gave him the name.
Now all I can say is - he's not allowed on the living room couch.
If it weren't so difficult to post photos on here, I would show you.
Very cute pupper.

But there will be no dogs on the furniture.
Well, just not the couch.

(16,376 posts)My oldest gurl now has a difficult time jumping, so she wakes me to help her up a couple of times a night. I am happy to do it because I don't know how much longer I'll have her with me. She is my soulmate.

(23,301 posts)I lost the dog of my life in August. Tag was my very best friend and the most beautiful border collie I had ever seen. He couldn't do stairs the last couple months of his life so I slept in the family room with him. He wasnt going to be alone those last few weeks. I hope your girl is with you a long time to come.

(16,376 posts)They break our hearts every damn time. I'm already going through some anticipatory grieving. I am cherishing petting her, smelling her, and cuddling.
Hugs to you, Montana Mama.

(8,327 posts)The bigger dog ( southern cur) needs help into bed, she will put her front paws up, and then needs a lift. The shepherd on the other hand jumps right in.
