Same in my house.

We never allowed any of our dogs on the furniture. Then came Snoopy. The shelter gave him the name.

Now all I can say is - he's not allowed on the living room couch.

If it weren't so difficult to post photos on here, I would show you.

Very cute pupper.

I still don't allow cats on tables or countertops though--whether they know it or not.

Is she a Border Collie?

Her mom was red and white and dad is black and white. They’re both working dogs on a cattle ranch.

Well, maybe when it's cold.
But there will be no dogs on the furniture.
Well, just not the couch.
Certainly not in the bed.
Well, not under the covers...

My oldest gurl now has a difficult time jumping, so she wakes me to help her up a couple of times a night. I am happy to do it because I don't know how much longer I'll have her with me. She is my soulmate.

I lost the dog of my life in August. Tag was my very best friend and the most beautiful border collie I had ever seen. He couldn't do stairs the last couple months of his life so I slept in the family room with him. He wasn’t going to be alone those last few weeks. I hope your girl is with you a long time to come.

They break our hearts every damn time. I'm already going through some anticipatory grieving. I am cherishing petting her, smelling her, and cuddling.

Hugs to you, Montana Mama.

The bigger dog ( southern cur) needs help into bed, she will put her front paws up, and then needs a lift. The shepherd on the other hand jumps right in.
