I was able to do a close encounter at our local zoo and because they were working on the pool in their outdoor enclosure I got to do it in their barn. I was able to be up close and touch both momma and baby. Momma got some treats and Baby got a few light strokes on her head. It was way too cool.

I have also done the bears and bisons one as well. The elephant one is on my list for this spring.

Baby rhinos and baby hippos are super cute.

Gotta respect those adult Hippos though. I've read that many consider them to be the most dangerous mammal on earth. Hippos are not to be messed with.
