It reminded me a lot of the Robert Deniro/Michelle Pfieffer movie The Family but I think Lilyhammer came out a long time ago...

It also lead me to a few other Scandinavian shows I liked. They make good stuff up there. Try Occupied.

The last episode was the one where he goes stroller shopping.

It's funny, but it also makes me cringe.

And, when the Norwegian cop gets killed, not so funny.

We are partial to "fish out of water" stories with quirky characters.

I thought the storylines and character development were disjointed. But I so enjoy watching shows set in foreign lands that it kept me hooked.
