Now that we're old, how has our perspective on "dreams" evolved?

Like, when I was young, they used to be dreamy or scary. Then we learned about FREUD and stuff and we kept peering for *MEANING*.

I've had mostly all nightmares, sometimes waking up in PARALYZED almost SCREAMING FEAR.

Now, in my ancient times, I just blow them off. Something I ate, or HMMnnn well that's interesting. Nothing to be bothered about.

Interesting how different peeps from my life pop up. The family/friends are predictable/expected. But am talking about some really OBSCURE ones, like from when I was 4 or 5 years old or whatever.

*** Now, in ancient days, it just DON'T MATTER. When I dream of the relatives, the parents, grandmother, breast cancer sister - they are just shades who don't talk. Funny but the who-cares ones seem to be in color and sharply defined.

But now the dreams are not remarkable anymore. And I just go about the daily routine tasks - face-washing. bowel monitoring, Rx-taking, glucose-testing, ho-hum and checking into DU.

Take *that*, FREUD.

When I am asleep, I am conscious-being aware of the dream ideas.
When I am awake, I am conscious-being aware of world ideas.
Awake or asleep, I am simply conscious-being observing mind-thoughts.

Asleep I create worlds that disappear when I wake.
The awake world also disappears, when we fall asleep.
Worlds come and go; conscious-being is constant.
