I Remember Watching Watergate. As I Watched, I thought, "It Couldn't Get Worse" It Got Worse!!

Through all the testimony, & news, I said to myself. "It Couldn't Get Worse Than This"

I was totally wrong. It got worse and worse. At the end, Nixon resigned and left the presidency.
...It got worse. Even after the five minute gap in the tapes, it got worse. I feel that this is
the same. It will get worse. Somehow and someway, it will get worse. Well, it ain't Nixon it is
Trump. Trump's history of being a crook, was/is far worse than Nixon's history.
.....If you think you have seen it all, I think there is much more coming. What will that be?

I can remember thinking - “there’ll never be anybody worse than Nixon. How could there possibly be?”

6. Watergate is when I started paying attention.

We all thought there is no way anybody could be worse than Nixon. I have never been more wrong. With TFG there is no bottom. It will get worse.

It wasn't till recently that I'm able to give Nixon credit for the things he did that made a difference. The EPA for one.

That doesn't absolve him or Kissinger from being the war criminals they are.

With tfg, no doubt whatsoever it will get worse.

4. Think about the story and how it changed then but not now

Okay so in Watergate more and more kept coming out. New things we didn’t know about. With Trump there’s no daily distraction since he’s no longer in office. No more screaming under a helicopter or his Kelly Anne types saying ridiculous crap. There one story and nothing to change it. He’s almost disappeared other than lackey news operations. No counter to stories. Nothing new.

Those noble, hard-working reporters, going after The Worst, Most Dangerous President In This Country's History, along with the thuggish members of his White House staff. It could never, ever get any worse than Nixon, right?
