Luxury Liner interior cabin photos from the - very elegant

This is how you live in the lap of luxury while crossing the Atlantic.

Sit down, read a magazine, or chat with the international travelers during your record-time crossing

At night you can arrange for a private room above the promenade for a tete-a-tete or naughty rendezvous

There's also a study where you can compose a letter to the folks back home, telling them about the exciting journey.

Hey, it's still the 20th Century, so the living quarters might be a bit cramped. But that'll just encourage you to get out and socialize during this once in a lifetime thrill.

Finally your ship comes to rest in picturesque New Jersey and you can thank your courteous pilot for a lovely trip. Maybe if you save up, you can catch another luxury flight in five years or so.

No way I would cross the Atlantic in that, unless you meant Atlantic City. GreenPartyVoter Aug 2012 #2

Beautiful interiors, and I love how the designers needed to be very conscious about the weight of the various articles and materials employed.

The piano was aluminum.

Bravo.

But don'tcha just love those 60s era dining chairs on a 30s era travel vessels. I tell ya, those nazis were ahead of their time.

In an era of crammed airlines and relatively small plane cabins, engaging in overseas travel in something so spacious would just seem so surreal -I can't even imagine it.

But yeah, pity about the ending
