On the left, A modified 1985.5 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe to the right, an 01 Mustang GT convertible..

The Turbo Coupe, is a factory 5 speed car, with a 3.55 Traction loc rear axle. Black leather interior.

It also has a Garret T3 Turbo, it has been intercooled and had the intercooled hood added from an 88 Turbo Coupe, full 3 inch exhaust, the ignition system has recently been rebuilt completely, boost is set at 19 PSI, coupled with the 6500 rpm redline, this translates to a 2.3 liter ford four cylinder engine with almost 300 hp. And best of all, when driven easy, gets 25 MPG. Yes it needs paint, that is planned for next summer. Next weekend, it is getting coil overs with koni adjustable struts, and a new clutch (to better deal with the high power output)

The Mustang is nearly stock, and in need of a good waxing.

It blows people's minds when they tell me they LOVE the GT, and how much fun it must be with its power, I tell them, that when I want power, I drive my 85 Thunderbird with the 4 cylinder engine....And I am being serious...

that is speaking to me, loudly, and I'm much more of a European car guy. What a great barge that Olds would be for a cross-country drive.

The previous week, a guy had a 1967 Chrysler that was even bigger.

Just cruising with a "barge" (like you say) down the highway in a huge overpowered, over-everything chunk of 60's or 70's Detroit.
