And definitely "What About Love" (again, sorry about the Bieber shot):

That IS Knopfler on guitar. They allowed Al to parody the song so long as Mark Knopfler played the guitar.

The original video doesn't include the lines "That little faggot with the ear rings and the makeup. Yeah, buddy, that's his own hair. That little faggot got his own jet airplane. That little faggot he's a millionaire." The original SONG does, but not the version on the "Sultans of Swing" album and that's the version they used for the MTV version. In Weird Al's parody, he's clearly using that line (when they're driving the truck past the screen) for the basis for the altered lyrics.

Note to LGBT community: I'm simply quoting the original song lyrics. There's a reason you don't hear that verse anymore and the later version cuts to "We got some installed microwave ovens".

I was sort of stoned at the time so I'm not sure I remember exactly what he said, but basically it had to do with him witnessing something like a murder and knowing who did it. During a concert, the guy was in a front row seat. What confuses me is my recollection of the interview was that he said he sang it directly AT the guy, which doesn't seam plausible unless he wrote it in advance knowing the guy had a ticket for that seat (possible). But if you listen carefully to the lyrics, it does all come together.

On a side note, he also wrote "I Don't Care No More" about the same time. It fit with my life then as my first live-in girlfriend fucked her old boyfriend in our bed and I threw her out before trashing the bedroom. I feel bad in a way because I talked to her a couple of months later and she'd had an abortion with one of three possible fathers (including me). Last I heard she was hookin' on the road riding with a trucker. I do hope she's okay.

Just a guy singing in front of a backdrop with some models.

But the look is SO iconic.

Springsteen's 'Dancing In The Dark' is fun, too.

This music video has everything. Rockin' song. Hilarious scenes. Mini-Van Halens. Hot babes. What more could you ask for?

Gotta love the Animal House style ending too.
