Talk about a sticky situation...

What a mess.

FOND du LAC, WIS. -
Approximately 200 gallons of honey spilled onto the roadway in Fond du Lac early Friday morning.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said a bee farmer somehow lost at least one barrel of honey while turning from eastbound Hwy 23 to the onramp of Hwy 41 south.

Firefighters used power washers to help clean up the spill.

Officials said highway workers were expected to bring in sand to soak up any leftover honey.

Honey is too good to lose, especially the non-imported stuff.

Much honey now comes from China. Problem is, a lot of it is adulterated with corn syrup or other things, illegally, to up the profits. And USDA testing of imported foods is woefully inadequate to catch most of it.

Not that there would ever be consumer fraud coming out of China, mind you. Perish the thought.
