51. I have to keep students

who ride a bus home in class after school until their bus arrives and is called over the intercom. At that point, the chairs are stacked, they are eager to leave, and I'm eager to get to work on everything that's piled up during the day. We make use of youtube to keep us occupied while we wait.

Their musical taste, in middle school, is rather narrow. For every one of "their" songs I'll play, they have to watch me play something else.

I played this for them and told them that THIS is what music video sprang from. The looks of horror on their faces was enough to keep me giggling through a pile of 150 papers to correct after they left.

The cat with the helmet. Reminds me of my parents lab. She has permanent 'udders' from so many litters of puppies. She is blind and constantly bumping into things, poor girl. But Maggie is the sweetest dog ever. Doesn't hold a grudge against the humans at the puppy mill. They just let her loose on the roads if KS when she outlived her usefulness.

46. ZOMG! Dis akshually uzd 2 happins 2 mah kitteh!

He was a huge grey tabby (named Big Boy) with rings on his tail. We lived in the country and our apartment had big sliding glass doors. Every single morning around 5:00 AM this raccoon would come over to have a stare-down contest with Big Boy. Fat raccoon on one side of the glass - Fat Big Boy on the other, growling.

It was awesome.

When I was in HS through my first year in college, I had a pet mouse, black and white, named Franklin D. Roosevelt, Frank for short.

Little Coda sailed through his CT scan on Thursday, won't know if he's a candidate for surgery until the results are in, hopefully tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed that he continues to do well...
