What to do when you run out of milk for coffee in the early morning? I tried whipped cream...

in a can that I keep in the fridge for desserts.

The result was not spectacular. I don't recommend it, but it was better than nothing.

Getting dressed and going to the store at 6 am was not an option.

the lack of flavor is disenheartening even with my good stuff but the cost saves me a bit.

This is the shelf-stable milk that you can find at Walmart. The shelf life is quite good, and it is nearly passable as fresh milk when refrigerated.

I never had much luck with dry or evaporated milk, but the latter is OK in a pinch.

Gotta have coffee, gotta have cream or half & half for it, and live real close to several grocery stores and a 7-11.

Lasts on the shelf forever, and is good for exactly this situation.
Then go to the store and get cream or half and half and replace the evaporated milk.

Until I didn't have the whipped cream once. I have to have coffee so I drank it black and it was fine. So, on occasion, I drink mine black. If I'm having breakfast with it, I like it black.
