Actor Steve Franken passes at 80.

Per today's NYT. Most around these parts will best remember him as the spoiled rich kid Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. on Dobie Gillis - sort of the Mitt Romney of the early '60s.

RIP.

"Bring Me The Head of Dobie Gillis"? Everyone was back for that, including Bob Denver, Steve Franken, and Sheila Kuehl (Zelda). Tuesday Weld pulled a Tina Louise and didn't show, but Connie Stevens was a more than passable Thalia Menninger. Frank Faylen and Florida Friebus (Herbert T. and Winnie Gillis) had, sadly, passed away by then.
