No. And if the lecture was included, they would have to pay me to sit through it.

I bet I missed half of it and still loved the movie - I might have to get it and watch again just to get the other half.

Hi,
I didn't care for the movie, and as usual, the book was great I thought. True story, I would highly recommend it.

Peace

I heard there were some differences. I was a huge fan of Jennifer Jason Leigh at the time I saw it. I still remember that scene where she sees herself in the mirror with the greasy hair and really sees herself. It kind of branded itself in my brain.

two of my favorite drug addiction movies. i took a class in college on addiction and we watched Requiem for a Dream (the rated R version not the uncut unfortunately) and discussed afterwards. professor gave me a B instead of an A cause I admitted to smoking pot which i thought was a dick-ish move but whatever.

yeah i'd pay to see both these flicks on the big screen.

I really liked Trainspotting and Drugstore Cowboy (don't put the hat on the bed) which other people mentioned.

Candy is from 2006 and stars Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish---really good movie.

Billy Crudup is in Jesus' son---both of these films got really good reviews.

the latter is primarily about dealing, but takes an important plot turn when the protagonist gets hooked on his own blow.

Then there are some excellent films that have drug addiction as powerful subthemes like Rent or Cider House Rules.

I don't know if I'd go to the type of event you seem to be planning because I'm not into that kind of educational experience but if I were, I believe you're theory of pairing that kind of movie with the expert is interesting.
