Nothing of any specific importance....just stuff that may be swirling around in your melon, looking for a way out.
Feel free to bitch, piss & moan, or just generally whine about anything at all.
As a f'rinstance, my supervisor is really torquing my bolts today. She has been taking her elderly mother to doctor's appointments all week, and it really interferes with her creating superfluous drama around the office. The way this woman bitches about her mother (whom I've met and think is a pretty sharp old lady) is a damned shame.
I'd wish for something bad to happen to her, but if it did I would wind up doing her job, and I wouldn't have her job on a bet.
Sound off, y'all!

(4,616 posts)and there are 10 or 20 horses all standing around trying to get a bite of icy grass or just standing there shivering and then you notice that ONE of the horses is wearing a blanket?
This drives me crazy. I mean, do the other horses get jealous and think "Why the hell is he so special he gets a f***ing blanket and I am freezing my ass off"?
Is the blanketed horse snubbed by the other horses or do they think "wow, that must be one really super horse I want to be his friend".
And what the hell is the horse with the blanket feeling? Does he feel bad for the colder, less fortunate horses or does he show his blanket off?
And who owns 20 horses and only 1 blanket?????
Why? Why? Why?

(23,272 posts)The one horse just doesn't grow a "good" winter coat, probably a thin skinned Arab or TB.
OR!!
That one horse is a boarder's horse and that owner blankets while the owner of the other 19 horses doesn't.
Honestly, most horses hate to be blanketed. They can be pretty snappish when putting them on or off. They prefer to NOT have them on. It's healthier for them to NOT be blanketed if you can get away from it. Their hair is designed to "loft" and hold the warm air near their skin.
Hope that helps....

I have been obsessed with the single horse with a blanket thing for several years. And I did consider the boarded horses thing, but that still doesn't answer my questions about how the horses feel about all of this...

eta: If so, that is not right, and you should take it down... then again, I'm using firefox with adblock. It's gone right now.
eta2: Yours is gone too.

(2,080 posts)it is not right. Would you like me to find it for you on DU2?
eta: I'm beginning to think he/she might be you. Argh!
eta2: I had private messages with random thoughts. I'm not going to search out the pictures. I know I am right.

(20,776 posts)You must be funny! If you had private messages with him, then you Know I am not him. In fact, if you might look through DU2 you will see I had many arguments with him. Do you think I staged that as well?
Personally, I didn't care for him. I thought he was rather rude. Enjoy your day. Oh, and a question...
How often did RT speak in Japanese? Because, as anyone will tell you...I often do in my posts!

I forgot to put gas in my car and didn't have enough to get home. The traffic on our street is horrible after 5, so going after work is insane. I had to drive all the way back to damn near where I came from.
My lunch is cold.

Does this make me a bad person? Or just an ol' horndog?
Would the President want to kick my ass if he knew the stuff that goes through my mind about his wife? Or would he just smile indulgently and say, "Dream on, white boy" ?

(2,550 posts)except it would be, "Dream on, OLD white boy". And she'd smile with those big pearlys.........and wink.........and my old heart would get all fluttery.............and I'd probably kick the bucket right there.
....you could fake the heart attack. Maybe get a little mouth-to-mouth.
My wife thinks my fascination with the First Lady is hilarious. She totally cracked me up once when a couple of drinking buds and I were, uh, discussing the First Lady-- she affected a gruff Southern redneck-type voice, and hit us with Peter Boyle's famously racist line from Monster's Ball-- "You're not a man till you split dark oak."
It was horrible....and we all fell out laughing.
I'm a lucky guy to have such a tolerant spouse. I understand that not all men do.

(457 posts)I'm a fan of the show Naked Archeologist, and through that show I learned about a Biblical character named Og.
Moses slayed him using a magical spear given to him by god.
And in another work. there are two different versions of him and Noah's Ark. One version of him has him riding out the storm on top of the Ark, and in another Noah simply made a special room for him inside the Ark.
I just found it an interesting thing, is all.
