I saw 'Further' there in Fall 2011. It was actually a nice venue for the show. Security was really lax too, so that was fun.

Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Mama Cass Elliot, Glenn Miller, John Bonham, George Harrison, and many other dead artists.

It was OK until they actually had to play instruments or get up and sing.

Unfortunately, their bones dropped all over the stage and the show couldn't go on.

I think we got pulled over by Chicago's finest either before the show, and one of my passengers had some...recreational substances confiscated. Good thing they didn't look in the trunk.

One in Bloomington and one in Indy. Donna and Keith were in the band at the time. I think "Blues for Allah" was the recent album.

I had seen them 26 times before, mostly in NYC, upstate NY, and NJ. I hated DC as soon as I moved there in 86 because of my then fiance. At the now departed Cap Center, I was disturbed by the sight of kids who were doing nothing getting hassled by Prince George's county police on horseback. One female cop was especially belligerent in using her horse to hassle kids who were simply sitting on the cement outside the doors to the place. Not a great show for my last time seeing them.

I'm not a fan of their music at all but I did love hanging at the camps. Kind bud, drum circles, liquid acid and free hugs (and more) from pretty hippy chicks. There was an ugly side to it sometimes but I always had a great time there. My buddy and I were ready to run away with them until we came to our senses.

Good stuff.
