I do think that it is a little unfair, or at least disingenuous

Particularly for Newt and the others - to keep up the attack on Romney as a career politician because he ran and lost. That's like me saying I am a computer specialist because I sent out hundreds of resumes for computer positions.

Newt isn't really in it to win it now. He just wants to do as much damage to Romney as possible. It's pay back time, in other words.

The very fact that he keeps getting defeated for the office he seeks is proof that he is on the outside looking in. Just because he keeps banging on the door doesn't make him the career politician others would claim he is.

By calling him a career politician the insinuation is that he has somehow been responsible for something.

He soesn't have a job, but we all agree that "unemployed" doesn't fit. Now maybe amateur politician, OK I'll gp with that.
