I saw his blog at bravotv earlier, and he opened with an "if I knew then what I know now" argument. He talked about how they didn't know Josie had been dragging her feet (which, I suppose, is possible) or that the lack of time to execute properly was her fault (about which I'm skeptical, given her history with time management as well as Kristen's statement that she had to change the plan for the sauce because they encountered a time crunch).

Then he closed with "Kristen's taking of responsibility demonstrates integrity and leadership and that's what being a chef is all about. Of course, that was *also* obvious at judge's table, and would have been plenty of reason to keep her. She had several good/decent dishes and took full responsibility for all dishes good and bad. Josie was involved in a single dish, it was a disaster, and she didn't take responsibility for anything. Shouldn't have been a tough choice, in my opinion.

Every season it is the same thing, the judges have no idea what goes on in the kitchen. tom always claims he sees things for the first time on the video of the show.

In this particular instance, it seems to me that Kristen was pretty much claiming responsibility for the fail. I really don't see how they could have gotten rid of Josie with Kristen claiming she was the last to see the dish.

Now I have to see the last chance kitchen to see who moves on. Sad to cheer for both of them.

talked to Padma about her elimination. Those two are cool with it but none of the viewers are!

Josie is NOT Top Chef material, Kristen IS! Really sorry to see her go!

Damn; I've been wanting Josie gone since Day One. But I haven't gotten a chance to watch yet. Since I'm in Seattle this year is particularly fun.
