What ARE they thinking? Does this really make anyone buy their product? Agh!

over a poker table in fact. These two women were going whee whee wheee.... back and forth and then dissolving into fits of the giggles. When I asked them what the hell, they were going on about, they told me it was the pig in that commercial. I replied that I remembered that commercial and then they told me about the new one. This is the kicker, though... None of us (nor could anyone at the table) could recall offhand the product the pig was selling. So what's the point?

that the women were actually playing along with it, with that annoying whee whee whee. So....that means they were paying enough attention, and were not annoyed enough to ignore it. Oy.

You do notice that you did find out the product, don't you? I guess that is the point. Sooner or later, everyone knows. But I guess that I could never work on Madison Avenue---because I would fire the idiot who came up with that one.

That's what was so odd. They knew the whee-whee part but not the product. Nor even the name of the pig (Maxwell). But I guess a lot of advertising is subliminal. As soon as we looked it up, it was like, oh yeah, Geico, right.

But this one's just a squeal in need of a punch line. Maybe if he was missing a leg...
