Though I suspect it may have been disability, like mine from VN...

When Desert Shield began, I was working for a nonprofit at the VN Veterans Memorial. The WMD scenarios had me freaked out, and I started behaving strangely. Like taking a hammer and nails and putting up news stories of the first casualties on my wall. I still remember that the first two were an airman run down by a truck on a dark runway in Saudi and a sailor electrocuted aboard his ship.

Eventually I called the psychologist I knew at the Vet Center and told him I needed to see him, BAD. DS had brought back VN, and I spent a bunch of appointments crying my heart out in that psychologist's office.

Finally, I told him that I'd already processed VN before. "How many times do I have to process this shit?" I asked him. The guy was very good at his job, and well-known throughout the VA. His answer:

"As many times as it takes."

centrally located for your convenience.

You think it's dark energy that makes universal expansion accelerate? No: it's other galaxies trying to get the hell away from Meta. You think the Higgs boson doesn't exist? It does, and it's smart enough to avoid Meta

The Trolls drug too greedily and too deep. You know what they awoke there under Khazad-DUm: Fire, and shadow. And Meta.

And some combat vets, to boot. People who respect rules that make sense and are very disciplined in following them. Piddly BS rules, not so much.

You can take the man out of the Marines, but you can't take the Marines out of the man.
And After eight years in and all the security jobs he did after he got out, the Corp. and the lessons that he learned still run deep. But that stubborn side they instill kept us going after the Tornado. I love that man more I think than I did 10 years ago the 28th of this month!

Obviously, my wine isn't as potent as your Jameson's---but volume of consumption is a very real factor, and I'm doing my part, tonight.

Have fun---we'll fight about guns tomorrow.....

BU, in fact, Dr. King's alma mater. I had to smack somebody who asked "why do we have an MLK memorial here?" We used to do vigils for MLK day.

We all know there is a separate bladder that holds alcohol, just as there is a separate stomach that holds dessert (ask any kid). The *initial* trip to the bathroom only empties the non-alcohol bladder. However, that "normal" bladder is holding the alcohol bladder in check by pressing on the series of tubes that lead to it. Once you remove that non-alcohol pressure, the alcohol has nothing keeping it from coming out.
