I have had some cats on steroids for respiratory (had to stop it for this, the steroid brought on diabetes), pancreatitis, and cancer. No problems with the latter two as far as the meds went.

I have heard of a cat having a bad reaction to fluticasone (sp?), which I think is a steroid.

One of my cats has reactions to routine shots sometimes so before they give her one they give her a little benadryl. Can they give your cat a different med for her skin condition? Also, some cats are allergic to plastic, so make sure your dad is using ceramic or metal food and water bowls. Vibes for the kitty!!!
