You know the day I'm talking about - you meant to sign up for that extended warranty or you meant to do __________ and forgot and now, you're gonna eat it big time. Well, 11 days ago, I left my car dome light on and my battery died. After sucking up the price for a tow truck to come jump start my car, I decided that, as a newly minted single woman, it would behoove me to join triple AAA. So I did, that very day. Tonight, my car doesn't start and I had been noticing some electrical anomalies. I'm hoping it's the alternator as that's about the least expensive thing it could be. But here's the thing, I have triple AAA now and have had it for 11 days, so while I couldn't avoid car problems, my membership is going to pay for itself in about an hour.
Nice.
Oh, and my dog, who was here for an extended weekend visit, gets to stay another day. I think he's psyched because he almost caught the dock otter when we came back from his 4am walk (the walk that was supposed to culminate in the 4:30 car trip back to his regular house-but see above). He's sleeping happily behind me with his back legs twitching. I know what he's dreaming about!

(72,300 posts)The dog was on her schedule not MITA's. I help them last night.
I just got through telling a fiend via pm that I'm too tired to post without edits.
Looks like I was right in the pm.

(27,985 posts)I was just being a joking smart ass. It's my coping mechanism for when the feces hits the oscillator.
I did save on the tow. And I do get to keep my dog another day. It's as good as it's gonna get.

That's the way I roll.
Damn, I never thought I would use those words, but it fits.
Life is good when you've got a furry friend close at hand.

(27,985 posts)It doesn't always translate to the keyboard. I'm often being self deprecating and it comes off as snarky. I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to explain.

(1,819 posts)We have to get the RV plus membership to the tune of like $160/year, in order to cover Mr. k's motorcycle, too. His truck is 16 years old, and his bike is 32. We more than get our money's worth out of them.
