Any fans? I am watching classic "Survivorman", but my favorite is "Dual Survival". Watching a minimalist going into the hell zone barefoot is strangely inspiring. Has anyone learned anything helpful, or even better yet, leaarned something they actually got to use from these shows? I'm addicted to them.

I watch a survival show once in a while mostly depends if it's in an area I know or what to know about.
...survival itself is such an intense subject, I could watch damn near any of these shows and take away something of value, ..........

The main thing I've learned is that the people who go on Survivor must never watch these shows.

(29,503 posts)to watch Survivorman, but it wasn't pizzazzy enough for me. I mean, on most of these shows, there is a film crew, and there's some slick editing, maybe even some scripted bits, but Survivorman seems much more basic, at least the first episode in the Arizona desert.
Do subsequent episodes get more interesting?
