Ok, being in the St. Louis area, we haven't really been hit that hard, comparatively.
I worked from home one day last week because I didn't much want to drive through Winter Storm Q.
However, it's really getting old for another reason:
I had a job interview lined up in the Chicago area on Wednesday. It was postponed due to Winter Storm Q (which I understand wasn't all that bad by Chicago standards, might have been ok to go).
It was postponed until this week, Tuesday. Of course, that has to be the day Winter Storm Rocky is supposed to dump 10 inches on Chicago.
It hasn't been called off or postponed this time, but...I'm a little concerned about driving up in a potential blizzard.
Therefore, I have had my fill of winter storms and am ready for spring.

(3,502 posts)Tomorrow's our day. Could be a lot of snow, could be a lot of rain. Will be a lot of wind. They should just say it's going to be a crap day or so and give it up.
Hope logistics are working out for your interview.

(19,833 posts)Very late in a crazily snow-free season, other than the last two weeks.
Doesn't look like a nice day for a drive.

(9,874 posts)Northern NJ got about 10" with the last storm (can't remember the name) but that's it. Usually we get several with 2"-6" and 2-3 with over 8" so I am not complaining, but this has been a very mild winter in NJ and we could use it after Sandy.

(5,364 posts)From mid December to now, with February being the worst. Not in terms of severity, though we got more and colder cold snaps than we've had in years. No, just the seeming curse of cycles: Seems for every decent sunny day ( with highs in the 40's or low 50's ) we got 4 rotten ones ( cold 38 degree fog/drizzle, or rain coming down damn near sideways ) Yesterday was quite a novelty: The second of two sunny days in a row! Albeit with a cold wind. Today, grey damp and blah.

(4,833 posts)9 inches measured at O'Hare, biggest snow in 2 years in Chicago.
I drove up & back in a day.
Roads weren't bad going up, but coming back, the roads were snow-covered from Chicago to just south of Bloomington.
Saw 8 cars and 2 semis off the road during the entire trip (2 cars on the way up, the rest on the way back).
Fortunately, if I get called back for a 2nd interview, they're saying they'll do it by phone rather than make me drive back up.
