I'm starting a clique RIGHT HERE in the LOUNGE!!! Who wants in? I don't have a basis for the cliquishness, yet, but it will come to me eventually. I GOT IT! We'll be the "Clique Without a Clue"!

I feel so much better. Maybe I should head to Meta and challenge their SOP, next! Who's with me? On second thought, I'm going home soon and it sounds like too much work. Now I remember why I gave up activism.

18. The Cage is set to reopen on Memorial Day wknd.

They were supposed to be open New Year's, but our lovely city officials gave them all sorts of hell.

And, yes, apparently some of our local cops are members of their very own biker club and like to go out, get plastered and beat up kids. I know in the past, the local police and sheriff's dept. had some active white supremacists. Thought it had changed. To be fair, there are a lot of very good cops up here that go out of their way to help some of our homeless. I've also witnessed two of them stepping in to stop a verbal racial attack against an AA man.

The really irritating part (well, one really irritating part) of the story is, the bouncers originally refused to let them in because they have a 'no colors' policy. But, the cops flashed their badges and, from what I've heard/read, intimidated the door guy into letting them in. Initially, the local depts. claimed they had 'no idea' who the offending cops were, even though there is an awful lot of video showing their faces.

But, the weather is nice.
