Cheese. Something like extra sharp special reserve cheddar. That fixes everything.

(24,926 posts)6. That does sound good.
I'll take some nice oaky red with that.

(2,173 posts)7. Nah. Merlot goes with gorgonzola and fruit.
Wait. Is "oaky red" a merlot? Fuck it. Merlot, gorgonzola and fruit rock.

(24,926 posts)8. Nah, merlot's not oaky
I think of something like a Cabernet as oaky.

(2,173 posts)9. Close enough. Savignon goes will with gorgonzola, but you'll need a seeded rye bread to top it off.
Just my opinion, mind you, but I do know my wine, cheese, and breads. A few capers would really make it nice.

(24,926 posts)10. I'm not a big fan of moldy cheese. I like strong stuff
but the blues don't agree with me. I do love capers though.

(2,173 posts)11. You really don't get any stronger than bleu and gorgonzola!!!
They're my favorites, especially with red grapes and granny smith apple slices. The seeded rye bread is a must.
And port wine will do quite nicely if you don't have merlot.
