(27,247 posts)2. "Consomme panchi" flavored potato chips
"Consomme" is bouillon soup, but I have no idea what the "panchi" means, unless it means "punch" as in "extra kick to it".
Maybe I'll drop by the local "konbini" tomorrow and pick up a bag.

(27,247 posts)4. I actually bought some "consumme punch" potato chips yesterday
108 yen (about $1.15) for a 60 gram (2 ounce) bag. The chips are touted as having "the lip-smacking flavor of consumme soup and the sweetness of vegetables". The "sweetness" is the "punch" part. The chips did seem to have a sweetness to them. At any rate, at 334 calories for a lousy 2 ounces, I'm now going to have to go on the "long breath diet"
