I had a stupid plastic yard chair break and collapse on me xmas eve. fell with all my (considerable) weight on both legs, knees bent under me. I rolled around on the floor for 15 minutes in agony before I could get up again. It hurt like hell. (and was probably pretty funny looking, I fully admit - but still - owww)

put a plastic bucket or a foot stool under the corned that has the bad leg

feel that leg moving so I'm sitting on a step ladder right now and my brother is driving over an old chair that I hope will do permanently. I already went caput on the other wicker chair I had. I hope my cat is not attracted to this new seat.

... with your orthopedic health. Seriously. You'd be amazed at the creative ways you can injure yourself when something you rely on without thinking much about it fails.

I can't afford a new chair for now. I think if I put a whole roll of duct tape on the bloody thing. My cat will be miffed. But I agree. There is no point in making myself lame.
