I may not be around for the start of the show, so am posting this here now to get a discussion started.
should be interesting - Tyreese returns, Andrea may finally realize the Governor is not such a sweetheart, and it looks like some interesting stuff going on in Woodbury.

Tyreese shows he still has morals and doesn't toss the asshole into the walker pit.

(17,621 posts)I thought the biters would tear the Governor apart. But there he is.
she's tied up in the torture chamber. I knew she was in the truck, though.

Damn that Milton, Andrea tried to shoot the Gov.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)it seemed like The Governor knew it was Milton that fired the walker pit
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)The Gov is super pissed that Andrea left.
Cool warehouse scene.
I don't feel sorry for Andrea, she could have killed him when he was sleeping.

(18,705 posts)I don't understand how Milton was ever taken in by Gov.

(18,705 posts)About time.
Andrea kicked some zombie butt, but she seems a little soft from living in the town.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)it was not like her to get surprised like that.

(18,705 posts)I drove home fast to get home to see this show.
Yea Andrea.
Did the Gov get knocked down the stairs.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Will she be in the chair.
She almost made the prison, Rick thought he saw something.
Yes, Andrea is in the chair.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)she's made a lot of mistakes, but nobody deserves maiming & torture.

(18,705 posts)I think the Gov would like to pratice on someone first.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)when Andrea & Milton were watching the Guv in the torture chamber, I glanced away for a second and then heard what sounded like a radio or walkie-talkie, but without any reception. Is there somebody in, or near, the prison with a second radio or walkie-talkie?

Wonder what the relationship was between Milton and the Governor before the Walkers?
Recovered Repug
(1,518 posts)seemed to suggest (at least to me) that the Governor was using Andrea as bait to get Rick to act.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)was the preview that showed Merle telling Rick that they shouldn't turn over Michonne.
Recovered Repug
(1,518 posts)I realized that I had made a mistake. I originally thought that they Merle was talking about Andrea.

(17,742 posts)I kept thinking: "why doesn't she sneak back out and take the truck? Just leave him there?"
And then when she looses the biters on him and she leaves, why doesn't she takes his truck then? If she had taken it, he never would have caught up with her.
And how, exactly, did he get out of that zombie swarm anyway?
Unsatisfying episode for those reasons.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)so, she would have had to hotwire the truck.
Duer 157099
(17,742 posts)why she chose not to do it is the writer's fault.

(5,909 posts)was that I didn't get to see my man Daryl--the former Prada model.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)even though we didn't really get any character development outside of Tyreese's group... we already knew about Milton, Phillip and Andrea. Nothing on anybody else in town, it seems.

(5,909 posts)burned the walkers? I think it was obvious at the end Milton did it.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I don't think Tyreese could have even gotten out there & back again - I would think the Guv might have them casually watched at least. I don't think it was Martinez - he's not the type that takes initiative. I thought maybe it was the guy that Tyreese almost dumped into the walker pit - in hopes of framing Tyreese. But, I don't think he would have gotten out there, either, without somebody noticing.
That leaves Milton, or somebody from the prison, if Merle told them about the walker trap.
RiffRandell
(5,909 posts)NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)one of the more active Walking Dead forums, they said the AMC Story Sync posed the question, "Why do you think Milton burned the walkers?"
So, the Story Sync revealed it was Milton.
Supposedly, Laurie Holden said it was Milton on Talking Dead, too.

(302 posts)He took everybody s guns?
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I think rounding up the guns is targeted right at Andrea - he didn't want her armed and leaving town, so he used the pretext of taking the guns to control her. It's a small town after all.
Baitball Blogger
(46,698 posts)She sees her character differently than we do. For one thing, she would prefer to be in the torture chair than Michonne because Michonne is her best friend.
And she didn't tell the Guv about Shane being the possible father of the baby.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)about her not telling the Governor about Shane. Merle would be the second option there, I'd think.
Duer 157099
(17,742 posts)She says she didn't but then she says stuff about maybe she did.
I interpreted it as: She didn't tell him for the purpose of giving him info to use against Rick; she may have told him in that time when she didn't know his character well enough, and innocently told him about her life with her friends before Michonne.
So either way, I think she told him. There's no way he could guess something like that.
Solly Mack
(90,762 posts)She offered a list names of people that could have done it. But I say she did it.
She was more than willing to work with Shane to supplant Rick. She shrugged off Michonne with ease, refusing to see the Potemkin Village Woodbury actually is. Blinded by whatever actually does drive her, she has taken up with unstable men who are not really available for one reason or another. (Shane's obsession with Lori and the Governor's psychosis)
I never saw her as a voice for peace and calm at all. I did see her as someone that deluded herself into thinking that what she said mattered to the Governor. She wanted to hear how special she was and the Governor told her what she needed to hear to continue wearing her blinders. She knows the truth now.
The Governor was very angry that Andrea found out about the Michonne "deal". (ripping off the blinders - then the torture chamber destroying those blinders forever) When at the prison she wanted to blame Merle for everything, never once considering that the Governor put Merle up to most of it. (Merle did kidnap Glen and Maggie on his own but it wasn't exactly something the Governor disapproved of) Andrea just refused to see the Governor for what he is. (until now)
I didn't get to see all of TD but will catch the rest today.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)Shane and then Phillip.
In the comics, she has a romance with Dale, but never anything with Shane. And, the Governor was already a sadistic & brutal warlord type when introduced in the comics.
Solly Mack
(90,762 posts)Not so much in the show. That could always change. Characters grow. (hopefully)
I think anyone who keeps trophy heads in fish tanks is sadistic and brutal. I know people like the character on the show (love to hate kind of thing) but I just want him dead already.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)she had no confidence until Shane took her out shooting one day, and now she's a lot more assertive and she knows she can at least handle herself against a walker or two.
Solly Mack
(90,762 posts)I just don't like Andrea. Maybe I'm viewing her with my own biases and she has changed over the course of time. Right now I don't see it. I really didn't like Shane and maybe that plays into it.
She is more confident killing walkers. She was right about the dynamics falling into women work/men work and how that isn't good thing - everyone needed to learn to protect themselves and the group. Everyone needed to learn all survival skills....to include cooking, hygiene (laundry), etc..
