Anyone drink apple cider vinegar?

I've heard it has general health benefits, but I've also read some people have bad reactions to it (acne, constipation, etc.)

I'm not asking for medical advice, I'm just wondering what people's experiences with it are.

I mix it with fruit juice, and truvia to hide the taste, so it has helped my allergies, helped me lose weight, and got rid of my acne

about a tablespoon of ACV with some honey and pour in hot water. I find it's great for soothing a sore throat and great for getting rid of that tickle you get in your throat. I like the way it tastes. It is supposed to have some very good properties in it.

BUT, you must buy the organic apple cider vinegar which is cloudy and has some settling on the bottom of the bottle. That stuff on the bottom is called "the veil" or "the mother"***. Braggs is one brand. The clear ACV does not have these same qualities.

***Contains the amazing Mother of Vinegar which occurs naturally as strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules

I presume you shake the bottle before you pour it?

I love the taste of cider vinegar - just never had it any strong concentration.

5. A teaspoon before you eat reduces gastric reflux.

A lot of people eat those tablets to reduce acid coming up their esophagus. That results in the stomach having to create even more acid to digest, and, fight the tablets.

At which point we need a pill -- of course.

The teaspoon before eating, such as a salad with oil and ... vinegar, starts the stomach's acid production.

Some say it fights mosquito's. I don't really know. It's just a time tested old wives tale.

I have a lot of different vinegars, and Chinese black vinegar, especially Xianxi,,which is brewed from peas and millet is great for cooking, dipping and drinking. Japanese brown rice vinegar makes a very nice hot drink. I don't claim any health benefits; I'm just nuts for vinegar

I drink a glass of highly diluted black Ten-no-ko vinegar made from brown rice after eating greasy foods, and it does seem to counteract the grease at least.

Dirt cheap, too.

Love the taste of almost any vinegar.

A few months ago some Lounge advice led me to concoct my ratios: a tablespoon of a-c-v into a glass of water, plus 4 generic packets of stevia. I was looking for a non-caffeine, no calories drink. I had tried diet green tea for a good trial and got an unwanted EDGY feeling.

So I didn't have any noticeable benefits, the only dominant result being the (still) horrible taste (despite the stevia). I'm now trying some of the V8 Splash drinks, whatever they are, non-sweetened, diet.

Note: Whenever I mention cooking ingredients (green tea, whatever), I'm aware that Lounge is full of gourmets who insist on the most natural, highest quality, home cooked/brewed things. My stuff is from the "commercial" aisle.

a story about a guy who was glugging some sort of vinegar every day. He went to the doctor and had damage to his esophagus and stomach from vinegar. I think they said that the damage in his esophagus was a hair away from cancerous.

I like vinaigrette on my salads, but I don't like the taste or smell of vinegar.

Much much much milder.

It's the acetic acid you're looking for. Most vinegars are 5%-6% strength no matter what the source. Apple cider is popular and inexpensive in the US because we have lots of apples.

I have hot tea every morning and in my mega-mug, I put in anywhere between a teaspoon to tablespoon of organic ACV. It enhances the apple taste in the tea and seems to have a settling effect on my daily digestion.
