How c-c-cold is it?

Here in Sheboygan, 10 degrees with 20+ mile an hour winds.

My Mom in norhtern Wisconsin has it -8 with that same wind.

1. The worse part is the cold is colder

on the east side of the Rockies.

20 degrees on the West Coast does not make your bones hurt the way 20 degrees does in the SE.
Its the humidity, indeed.
Been in 5 degree weather in Eastern Washington
and in 20 degree weather here in Ala
and much prefer the drier cold.
I cannot imagine when you add in the wind YOU are having...good god.
How do you stay warm? Do you have gas heat? ( gas makes such a difference, I find)

Seems to me there comes a point where your extremities just turn blue and fall off anyhow much below 10 degrees

When it's +10 you just feel cold. -10 actually hurts.

18. When you walk out into -10 or lower

it's like getting hit with a bag of fereezing slush. Your face stops working for a while and it goes to the bone. Definitely worse than 10 above.

6. -17 air temp on the North Shore of Lake Superior. I wouldn't mind except there's less than an inch

it's 61 now, winds gusting up to 25 mph. unseasonably warm, yes, but out weather here is very....different.
