I need to escape. Need video recs.

I've seen most of the good series, just finally caught up with Justified (wow what an ending to season 2!).

I bought the first season of Sons of Anarchy, hoping I like it but haven't seen any episodes yet.

Thinking of getting the DVDs of Fringe, because it seems like something I'd like and I've seen parts of a couple episodes, enough to think I'd like it.

I don't have Starz, so not familiar with any of their series, but would buy the DVDs if they come highly recommended.

I think I may have gotten the first season of Camelot but haven't watched it yet, is it worth it?

TIA

It looks like another shitty WB drama but it's not. It might be the best under-rated series on TV and one of the few pieces of smart horror I've ever encountered. Everybody I've ever made watch it has gotten hooked.

Yeah, if I do this I'd buy the DVDs so I can watch from the beginning.

Thanks, I'm off to imdb to check it out...

So I set the DVR to start recording the series. Seems there are 2 episodes per night and it may be every night (TNT?)

So I can give it a try before buying it

Give it about a half a season before you make a judgement, the first season felt a bit clunky in places like they decided to change the season-long narrative arc (specifically what they were building towards in the finale) and the focus of the show (from being centered on the ghost-story of the week (an episodic-focus) to being centered on the relationship between Sam and Dean Winchester and its' role in the longer narrative of the series. (a continuity-focus))

It definitely picks up steam and hits its' stride soon after that.

It is an animated series, and a spy spoof, great distraction. Netflix has some episodes available on instant watch.

Animation isn't my biggest thing. I really like good dramas.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Also, to the OP, Game of Thrones may be right up your alley. Good luck with your escape.

Here's my spur of the moment video recommendation

Also, there's a Brit show, "Being human" that we started watching, and found mostly enjoyable.
