I mean, I know there are some good surgeons out there, but with Johnny it's as much an attitude as being well-preserved. And, okay Barnabas is hundred of years old and a vamp, so he'll look young, but I'm beginning to think Johnny has a portrait in the attic that ages for him! Next role: Dorian Gray...?

Seriously, the man smokes from the minute he wakes till when he goes to bed! How does this not affect him?

I dig Helena Bonham-Carter as Julia. But, if I had my druthers, I'd rather see Michelle Pfeiffer play Angelique.

9. Not too young

Jonathan Frid was 42 when the original soap was first aired. Johnny Depp is currently 48. Joan Bennett was 56 - Michelle Pfeiffer is 54. Grayson Hall was 44 - Helena Bonham-Carter is 46. Lara Parker was 29 - Eva Green is 31.

Like I said above, I'm mostly ok with the casting. To add, I love, love, love the idea of Jackie Earl Haley playing Willie. But, while I'm not at all familiar with Eva Green, I do think Michelle Pfeiffer would have made a really fun Angelique. Having her play boring old Elizabeth strikes me as a downer.
