bearing a limp rodent.
Even sadder story: Going inside, seeing the cat, but seeing no sign of the rodent.

(8,217 posts)Good luck hunting.
Especially if the aforementioned rodent was just stunned...

(36,286 posts)I had to chase and catch a rabbit one time! Catching birds is even more fun!
It is still better than finding random parts.

(272 posts)I tread carefully, because I never know when I'll step on a rodent gall bladder or the tip of a snake tail. My cats eat what they catch, though, so it's not a continual parade of sporting trophies, and one of my cats has learned to kill very quickly, and has no liking for drawing things out. Unlike the other cat, who is a sociopath with no empathy. I cringe when he brings something home, but if the first cat is there, he'll step in and make sure it's killed quickly. Their preference now is for rodents, which is gross, but better for the environment.

kind of gross sometimes but easier to clean than rugs, and the almost never get away to die and stink from some mysterious location
