need a few vibes

I don't want to go into much detail in a public forum but PM me if you would like additional details.

I had a job interview this week and I will soon find out if I made the next round of cuts. (The initial interview was over an hour long) This job would be for a very high profile candidate that if I pulled this thing off, would surely earn me a campaign manager position for next cycle (which is my ultimate goal). I also know that he's a pain in the rear end to work for (I know people who worked for him in the past) and part of me wants that challenge. If I get called back, it would be for an interview with his chief of staff, who will make the ultimate hiring decision. (I almost did not apply for the job because I have been wrestling a gut feeling that is telling me to leave the state.) My first choice is to leave the state, but this is the exact type of district that I thrive in.

The 2nd is for a friend (or more) of mine. We're very close, and got together this weekend. However, he was not himself because one of his cats is missing. (We live 6 hours apart and don't get to see each other often, and he was naturally preoccupied because of the cat-- I would be too). Could you spare a few that the cat is found and that I appropriately follow up with him. (I first met my friend 15 months ago and since then he's done nothing but go out of his way for me and even helped me land a job. I feel a lot more complete with him in my life and I don't want to mess things up by coming across as ungrateful because that's the exact opposite of what I am).

All the best as you proceed through these various adventures!

Your political job sounds fascinating! Not many people can swing a job like that......good luck!

And more vibes for your friend, that his cat will be found safe and sound! If you're as close as you say, I'm sure he already knows how grateful you are.....and he may well be grateful for your presence in his life...

Let us know, if you can, how things work out!

We are as close as we can for living 6 hours apart from each other. However, we have the kind of relationship where we could go for months without talking then pick up like it was yesterday (and the months kill me inside--- note, I have very strong feelings for him and I haven't been able to tell him that). I have such a history of messing things up that I am scared to death of doing it again.

This week he coached me through job interview questions (another way he goes out of his way for me). He was not that person this weekend (most likely because of the cat) and I just want that H back. He did not seem like himself, and naturally with my anxiety, I am stressing out over it.

My job is fascinating, and I love every minute of it except for the offseason.
