A visit from a neighbour....

She wandered into the garden this morning, dragging a long rope. Took us a while to find out where she belonged. Her owner is an old farmer who doesn't believe in newfangled technology like telephones.

I had the fun of feeding her apples while she was here.

my daughter would have hid her in her bedroom and never told anybody.

Which would be tough since our house is only a hair over 1000 square feet. In a suburb.

I would have noticed something was up when I stopped getting texts asking me to swing by the game store and pick up a new video game and started getting texts to swing by the feed store and pick up some hay.

there would have been a fight on to keep the horse. He was forever bringing home wildlife of all kinds. I told him about it today and, even at 31, he was disappointed that he wasn't here to see her.

The one upside of the constant bloody rain. Better too much than not enough, though.
