3. I hate it when that happens

My wife and I went through a spell of about a month when we'd fight and make up, fight and make up. Finally, one day I said to her that we have to stop doing this to each other. We haven't had any spats since then. I hope we never get seriously mad at each other again. Being mad and fighting with someone I love is one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced.

4. +1 to that!

He does not want me to voice anything negative. So I end up holding it in and my nerves get to take the beating.

I voice something and he gets ticked because I bring in negativity. He says if I can't be positive I should stay quiet. But there are issues that are negative but need to be talked about.

This has been the case for the last two of our 10 years. He is wanting to start a business with his G.I bill that he has not touched that is for doing just that. But with this issue boiling up, I don't think we can work together. Partners have to talk over negative things.

24. There are negative things, and then there are NEGATIVE things....

I know how frustrating it can be when 'he' won't discuss the issues between you. Perhaps what you always need to remember is that "He takes your breath away" I think that was only of the loveliest things I have ever read on DU.

The issues of working together may not be the same as the personal issues. It's complicated, I know.

5. Why are you up? I'm up because I can be.T

It has taken me several years to get used to this and I still don't really get it but once you retitre, your time is belong to you. After spending close to 50 years getting up at O dark thirty to get to wrork, I can now sleep or get up any time I want. It's very strange still.

How are you doing? I have been following you for awhile as a new resident to Tucson and have been hoping you are doing well.

6. Fight with my SO.

When we fight, a restful sleep becomes out of the question for me.

Still trying to get my footing. Still trying to find work.

SO has an interview for a possible job at the VA. Hope it works out. He has been on many an interview. He out numbers me on that. Hope that we can keep the HUD for one more year. This down streak has to break soon. Someone has to need his or my skills some where.

9. Many things.

Have worked in TV for 5 years.

Have also been a manager for a luggage store. I set schedules and evaluated employees performance. Hired and fired employees. Handled questions and complaints for Customers. Received product shipments and placed shipments in stock room. Oversaw the night drop and employee training. Executed advertising and promotion campaigns. Helped on sales floor and filled in for sick employees.

Also as a Sales Clerk/ Engraver. I accepted payment and made change for Customers. Helped Customers with selecting specialty gifts and chose engravings. Stocked shelves with as well as placed price tags on merchandise. Set up adverting displays and arranged merchandise on shelves and counters. Engraved specialty gifts that customers purchased in-store.

My B.A. is in Communication. Sadly I can not get the transcript back due to being without work to start my loan payments again, long story.

The work in the TV station was a Production Technician/ Associate Producer. I set up and controlled production equipment in studio, such as cameras, microphones, and microphone booms. Worked directors and audio board, tape decks, and propter in control room. Taped network feeds for cut in’s as well as add information to scripts for said feeds. Greeted Guests and answer any questions they may have before going on as well as to double check information with them that would be used in the show. Answered the phones for contests and school closings as well as get mentioned information to Director and Anchors during the show. Filled in for any missing crew member.

I did stories as a journalist for my College Station as well. That is one reason the other hired me, I knew the field work already so moving me up the latter was easier.


I was also part of the KGCS 2002 award winning KGCS Campus Update National Broadcasting Society Regional Production Competition, First Place as well as in 2004

I have also done PR work, it is a big part of working with the public for a morning show. I also was PR Secretary for the College Dem for two years.

I also was in Fast Food when I was a kid. Worked for McDonalds, Taco Bell and Braum's Ice cream Store.

27. One of these things is not like the others. Engraving?

What kind of engraving?

I don't own a T.V. station or anything. I'm just a retired Sheet Metal Worker, but engraving I am interested in.

28. It was when I worked for "Things Remebered".

I used a computer guiled engraving machine to do metal, glass and some plastics for people.

11. Sigh! I was up for about 36 hours last time.

12. Late tonight.

At lest the sun is coming up. I'll probably make some coffee if we have it and go out to the porch soon. Try not to say anything to Dave so as to not start it up again. If I do, I'll be looking at another long night. I can and have gone four days wake when I get going, sadly.

15. I've been up for 3 hours trying not to wake the guys.

16. Oh yeah!

We have 2 rock doves that call the rocky area in front of the porch home. Starlings love the Ponerosa Pine that is out there. And can't forget the pigeon we call "Corner Owner". He has a perch area he is very protective of on the building across the street. He comes over to eat from the food my upstairs neighbors put out.
