am I going to think it's the best show ever or am I going to have some serious nightmares?
I'm like 20 minutes into the first show, and the dude is wandering through an increasingly gruesome hospital.

(32,969 posts)watching at 9pm on a Sunday night was too intense for me, the gore and the sometimes intense heartbreaking stories kept me from sleeping, or reappeared in my dreams. We'd record it and watch it later in the week, earlier in the day. I want to know what you think about Lori....there is a topic for discussion.

(5,317 posts)I agree. I'm getting real tired of Rick's whiny BS and I hope a zombie chews off his face.

(63,203 posts)I'm quite fond of zombie horror and have works published in the genre, so it's not like I'm averse to the subject matter.
However, the show is plodding and bogged down in trite, tiresome bullshit.
I watched the first episode and was unimpressed. Then I was told to watch three episodes, after which I was still unimpressed. Then I was told to watch another two, and I was bored out of my mind.
If a show with a four-episode debut season can't get its shit together during that season, it's not worth the trouble.

(56,828 posts)The show has been very good overall, but it's had it's ups & downs (slow pacing to start season 2, a bit scattered the second half of season 3). At its best, it's been very intense and some great drama.
