ATT Uverse exp?

Anyone have experience to share? Good. Bad. Fraught with problems. Eh. Great. Terrible. . . . . What?

I've about had it with Charter. Don't like dishes, though (too much snow in WI)

Son likes all the sports he can get. I don't want the extra movie channels though do like the on-demand aspect - especially the Primetime shows. Does uverse even have that?

U-verse has everything you might want. What I liked most about it was the ability to record up to 4 shows at one time...or watch 1 and record 3...any combination there of. I think, but I'm not sure, that it depends on the number of televisions you have. I could set a recording on the tv in my bedroom and watch it in the kitchen! That is flexibility!

They were very easy to work with, I never had any problems with service and the internet download speeds are excellent. You can select the speed you want...or could when I had the service. I moved 18 months ago to an area where it is not available. Comcast is driving me nuts! Pricing is about the same. I don't mind paying for excellent service, paying for service that is somewhat unreliable makes me crazy.

Also channel lineups are much easier with U-Verse...all HD programming begins with 1,000... So if you want CBS in HD you enter 1 + the CBS number...I was forever hunting for my HD channels with Comcast.

I imagine Charter is much like Comcast.

really like the system.

We have better and higher quality tv service and good internet and pay about 60 a month less than we used to pay.

VERY satisfied

on edit.LOTS of sports stations...the most of any system I've ever used, and they have tons of movie channel options. They have anything you would expect from any system.

EVERY time it rains she wonders how long til it goes down; and it always goes down. She also has Directv and the heavier rain storms always knock out her service.
I have Comcast tv and internet and have NEVER gone down. I've had power outages and still have my internet service with a battery backup. And Xfinity service from Comcast has excellent on-demand service for both tv and online viewing. Smartphones too.

It's expensive - but it has the best 'features'. Don't know how it works if you have a lot of tv's sucking the bandwidth though. (A lot of HD tv's put a strain on the bandwidth).

Sorry - Just going comcast vs uverse. I've never had direct etc And I never wanted (programing-wise or cost wise) the premium stuff.

The big issue I had with uverse is (after the 'trial' honeymoon) you can NEVER figure out how much you're going to pay one month to the next. I've had them promise me one rate and have it last a month before it goes up for xxx reason.

But I DO think it's got great stuff and the DVR, guide etc is great.
