The 360 controller is widely considered one of the better controllers actually. But the original Xbox controller was indeed something of a disaster:

7. It is very different from the PS3 controller

From the general bulkiness, the way the D-Button is placed outwards, making it harder to change from analog stick to that.
The trigger buttons which are further apart.

If you use an XBox controller for say a 2D-3D fighting game, the resistance and the lag is very noticeable.

I have both systems, and I almost never buy a fighting game for the XBox due to the controller.
Then again, must admit the GameCube was worse.

I have those systems. GameCube, PS1-2-3, XBox and 360.
I never use the XBox any more. Then again, I barely use my systems any way since I don't have time.
I ended up just using the PS3 for a Netflix system, which to me makes more sense than a 360 which forces you to pay Live to use the service.


And yes, I do mean the original XBox controller, the 360 controller is slightly better, but not that much in comparison to the PS3 controller.
Though I must admit, the PS3 controllers feel a bit more frail than the PS2 ones.

Though yes, the 360 controller improved from the original XBox controllers.
It still lags in functionality to me in comparison to the PS3 controller.

But any way...

I am a bit concerned about how they will want to effectively kill the 2nd hand game market.

the covers to the stick part would always come off. My brother(15) stuck the cover to his forehead for a bit thinking he looked funny. When he pulled it off, there was a dark purple circle hickey in the middle of his forehead with four days left in the school week. It's the little things. . .

We live on used games. I almost never buy a game new.
