That settles it. I need a new image.

I just had the strangest encounter at the grocery store. I had stopped after work to pick up a few things and since I didn't feel like walking from the bus stop with a couple bags of groceries, I called a cab. While I was waiting, a young woman tapped me on the arm. I turned around and she had $10 in her hand and said "God laid it on my heart to give this to you". I must have looked puzzled because she repeated herself.

I tried to explain to her that I was fine, that I didn't need the money, but she insisted that she had to give it to me because god told her to. I finally told her fine, but I'd just give it someone else who truly needed it.

What the hell?!?!?!? My clothes were clean, my hair was combed, I bathed last night. I don't think I looked destitute or homeless.

What would you have done? I'll make a donation to the local food bank and increase my usual amount by $10.00

But you really can't allow a stranger to define you. She was wrong, but this way the food bank gets an extra $10, God works in mysterious ways.

I'm sure your local food bank will be happy to get an extra $10

I've only recently heard about them but they seem to be all the rage. God tells them these things and they go and do them. It might not have had anything to do with how you look or dress. Kind of crazy if you ask me, but the people I have seen "listening" have been basically doing good things.

11. I guess anything is possible. She works at the store and was on break at the time.

Whatever, I donated it to our local food bank so her good deed wasn't wasted. I've never had anything like that happen to me before.
