Yikes! Macy's website has a "site governor"!
It's the online equivalent of being placed on hold, minus the Muzak. It's a splash screen that says "Temporary shopping jam" while it counts down from ten. It did this four times before it finally let me in! 
And to top it all off, the silly sweepstakes I was looking for turned out to be for a trip to NYC to see the fireworks (and in my case, Mom and Republican Stepdad 
) -- next year!
