1. Yeah. They copied the visual style of Apple Maps.

Including the rendering bugs that Apple Maps had at launch in their 3D mode.

One thing about Google, when they steal, they really steal.

After looking at their page, there's still one important thing that's missing for me: high-resolution aerial imagery.

Half-meter/pixel resolution is good; 15cm/pixel would be far better

Considering the billions Google makes, I'd think it wouldn't cost them all that much in current profits to beef up their storage capacity and add the highest-resolution imagery possible. Go fly those routes, add LiDAR point data, and let's get to making the best maps anyone (especially professional mappers) could ask!

"Where in the world am I ?!".... You're dropped off in a random street view, explore up and down the street, and try to place where you are on a world map, then it tells you how close you are to the actual location.
