... sniffle...
It's been a long road, these last 5-ish years, and to be acknowledged for keeping him on a somewhat good track in the shadow of the loss of his father. Well, that means a lot.
I was thinking, when I first logged in here, he was 3. Now, he will be 15 in a couple of months.

(3,818 posts)you have. He must be an exceptional young man too for his teacher to want to name her child after him.
ScreamingMeemie
(68,918 posts)It was interesting, because he struggled a bit with this class/teacher early in the year. She called me to "brag on him" a bit, and we ended the call with sniffles. School years go by too fast.

I admit, I worried so much for you, for him, for your daughter. But you've done great and I am happy you've stayed so close to him.
(My dad died when I was very young, and my mom checked out. It's like we lost both of them at the same time. I am estranged from her now.)

(68,918 posts)and we kept our lives basically the same (with the exception of moving away from the memories). It's been difficult doing the "dad stuff," but he's done a good job at growing up.
WannaBeG lives in Orlando now. I miss her terribly but she is finally so very happy that it give me peace.

Btw, your son is a very handsome young man and his date is a lovely young woman.
BRAVO for all of you!
PEACE!

These years really are something.
