Sunflowers always cheer me up. Wish I could grow them again. I used to love those Russian Mammoths.

Great for shade, bird and people food and also for allowing green beans to grow up them in the garden. Just wonderful things.

Don't ever stop posting your photos, please.

Your photos are still the bomb. Are you posting them as past tense because you are no longer allowed to grow things that reach above your fence, and thus no new photos?

I hope that you can find the beauty in growing them again some day.

Someone in my apartment complex planted sunflower seeds in different places around the buildings last summer. Even with the horrific heat we had, they were ginormous. They made me think of your photos.

I just can't grow sunflowers. I have tried and tried. Yours are magnificent.

But we still get enough to roast, when we grow them. I probably won't this year. Too many other things, not enough beds.
