Tonight from 7-9 on "The Jazz Score" we'll dig way back into the archives to feature the compositions of Joe "King" Oliver, one of the most important early jazz cornet players and Louis Armstrong's teacher and mentor. We'll also venture into some of Louis' own early compositions written during and right after his time in Oliver's band. Hope you can tune in! - Andrew Olive

The station plays an array of jazz styles, from historic to the most modern. My favorite sessions are Sunday morning historic jazz, Weds. evening jazz vocalists 1920-1950, and a session called Jazz From The Left.
